BROTHER SISTER

Verse 1:
They always say that blood is, blood is thicker, blood is thicker than water
But my blood runs in my body, blood runs in my body like a river
My blood ain’t thick but thin, a needy river, infuse our blood with love
No words needed, don’t talk, don’t explain, to me this says enough

Chorus:
Brother, sister, you are here, you are near
Close to me wherever you are
Brother, sister, you are here, you are near
You’ve found your chamber in my heart

Verse 2:
It’s hard to realize, to realize, to realize I found you
Just until that time was, time was right, that time was right to meet you
Call it destiny or fate, or you can call it what you like
Coincedences happen, but this is something that sure did change my life

Chorus

I SAY GOODBYE

Verse 1:
Dear friend
It hurts me bad to tell you
That our love has come to an end
Dear friend
There’s no other way to tell you
I’ve tried my hardest, but I just can’t

So sad to see
That what seemed so solid, so strong
Could still break between you and me
Dear friend
I know our sorrow is this mighty, but
Causing you pain ain’t my intend

Chorus:
I say goodbye, my baby
There’s nothing I can say
I pack my bags, my baby
And I will leave today

Verse 2:
I know
You can’t touch the pain that I feel
But while I write this, my tears start to flow
I know
You’ve trusted me, you’ve guided me
But now I’ve got to move on, on my own

We had a good time
Joy and anger, fun and battles
Love that is so very hard to find
I know
It might seem strange, but believe me when I say
I’m thankful for you letting me grow

Chorus

Bridge:
Your pain is my pain and my pain is yours
How we gone wrong and why we don’t belong
Are questions to the answers I can’t find

I’m helpless, I’m hopeless, I’m scared and I fear
Distress coming over me and it’s so hard to see
Through the tears that leave my eyes

I say goodbye, my baby
There’s nothing I can say
I’ve packed my bags, my baby
And I will leave today

NO HESITATION

Kaz:
Ooh, You
You’ve been waiting
You’ve been waiting, fighting far too long
Now that time is on your side
And finally luck came your way
You are where you, where you should be

Ooh, You
You’ve been waiting
You’ve been waiting, hiding far too long
Now you’re pieces been picked up
And your luggage’s in your back
You are where you, where you should be

You’ve been down too long
No hesitation
You were moving your way up
And found yourself in life

PennyLeen:
Ooh, I
I’ve been waiting
I’ve been waiting, crying far too long

Kaz:
Now that time is on your side
And finally luck came your way
You are where you, where you should be

PennyLeen:
I’ve been down too long
No hesitation
I’ve been moving my way up
And found myself in life

Kaz:
You’ve been down too long
PennyLeen:
No hesitation
Kaz:
You were moving your way up
And found yourself in life

PennyLeen:
Ooh, I
I’ve been waiting
I’ve been waiting, trying far too long
Now I no longer have to fear
To feel the clouds beneath my feet
Now I’m where I, where I should be

FOOLING

Verse 1:
I don’t have to be scared, I say, but yet, still I am
Don’t have to feel blue, but, my mind won’t deal with red
I don’t have to be sad, no need to cry tears
Don’t have to be angry, I just gotta get out of here

Chorus 1:
I know what’s right and I know what’s wrong
Why is it always october to me
I just have one problem, for you to be solved
Why do I keep on fooling me?

Verse 2:
I don’t have to sob all day, but yet, still I cry
I don’t have to be down, but my tears just won’t dry
I don’t have to drink booz no more, forget all my fears
Don’t have to be angry, I just gotta get out of here

Chorus 1
Chorus 2:
These feelings mixed up like a dark stormy sky
Why is it always october to me

Maybe I’m going mad, or maybe I will go insane

LOST MY HERO

Verse 1:
You seem so true, gifted and strong, with a beautiful mind
What is it in you, this beauty inside you can’t seem to find
My expectations vanished, like dust in the air
I just can’t understand, why don’t you seem to care
Why don’t you seem to care?

Chorus:
I’ve lost my hero tonight
You couldn’t care less, you flew your own flight
How sorry I am, how sad you may be
No strength for worries
But looking at you, my feelings inside, I know
I’ve lost my hero tonight

Verse 2:
You don’t care, how lucky you are, to be this accomplished
Do you know where you’ll end up in life, are you already finished?
I should’ve known, you can’t quit your wild romances
I just won’t understand, why won’t you take the chance

Chorus
Bridge:
I’m angry, I’m worried, my mind full of fear
I just want to know, where do you go from here?
Afraid I might lose you, scared to say goodbye
But I already did, ‘cause I lost my hero tonight

PEACE OF MIND

Verse 1:
Her life passes by, so quickly, so fast
She’s got no control, even how hard she tries
She wants to do things, all at the same time
She’s checking her mails, while her telephone rings

Chorus:
Oh.. Please, give this girl some rest
Some air to breathe, some room to live
And clean up the mess in her head

Verse 2:
Her life passes by, she’s waiting for a sign
To end up this waste, and get back her life
Girl, know that just wait and see what will happen
Is not life’s intend, just try to keep things straight

Chorus

Bridge:
How she wishes to clean up her mind
And throw away thoughts, so far she can’t find them
How she longs to have peace of mind
No worries, and no fears, just leave them behind

TALK TO ME

Verse 1:
I can’t hear your eyes, and I can’t read your mind
I can’t translate all the signs transmitting
I can’t hear your eyes

What happens in your head, are words so hard to get?
It’s hard to decode the message you’re sending
What happens in your head?

Chorus:
I don’t want to fight against your thoughts
I don’t ever want to guess no more
I don’t even want to take the time
Talk to me, talk to me

Verse 2:
What’s buzzin’ in your brain, won’t you try now to explain?
Are you happy with the life you’re leading?
What’s buzzin’ in your brain?

I can’t hear your heart, and you won’t share your part
Are desillusions your daily feelings?
I can’t hear your heart

Chorus 1
Chorus 2:
You might think that it’s just all okay
You might think that it’s not worth to say
If you don’t want me to leave you now
Talk to me, talk to me

SOMETHING TO RECALL

Verse 1:
Here I am, walking down, by the riverside
Memories, slowly pass, passing by, I’m
Looking for, my old life, something to recall
Nothing’s changed, yet too much, in my life

Chorus:
How sweet it is, how warm it is
To be back where I’m coming from
Looks like now life didn’t change
This is the place where I belong
Spending time in memory
Away too far too long

Verse 2:
Here I am, lost in thoughts, something to recall
Thinking while, water purls, to me gently

Chorus

THE STORY BEHIND THE LYRICS

Welcome to the rest of my life!

Something to recall gaat over Deventer, waar ik ben opgegroeid.

MY TERRITORY

Verse 1:
I told you ”Stay out of my life
Leave me alone with all my memories”
Gave you time to get me out of your mind

You had your chance to belong
But you messed up our time and took me for granted
Said goodbye but your longing was too strong

Wash your brain, and let the memories, drown in the dirty water
Flush away, no opportunities, now to let them bother

Chorus:
No! I won’t give you my lovin’
No! I won’t give it away
Oh, please stop all this cravin’
Oh! that’s all I gotta say, gotta say
My territory is mine

Verse 2:
Now listen to me when I say
Me loving you was just a big mistake
I want to get rid of the thoughts and blow them away (in the open air)

To me you are history
Get the message in your head and
Live your own life and let me be just me

Wash your brain, and let the memories, drown in the dirty water
Flush away, no opportunities, now to let them bother

Chorus

QUEEN IN MY CASTLE

Verse 1:
I’m picking up the pieces, to start a new life
Leave my past far behind
Don’t know where I’m going, can’t tell what’s right
Hope life’s gonna treat me kind

It’s scary but tempting, to face this new world
Can’t wait to start all over again
This is my new beginning, a chance with opportunities
Goodbye to my life-back-then

Lived my life as a princess, but now I’m a Queen
This fortunate and overjoyed I just have never been
And when I opened the door, of this beautiful mantle
I entered my sweet little royal adventure

Chorus:
I’m a Queen, Queen in my castle
All belongs to me, all that I can see
Queen, Queen in my castle
I’m gonna rule my world, from now on
I’ll be the Queen in my castle
Queen in my castle

Verse 2:
I opened the curtains, and gazed over fields
Saw the signs along the way
I kindled my candles, my room filled with light
A perfect end of my day

I’m drowsy and I’m tired, I’m gettin’ ready for my journey
Dreamland, here I come
And when I get up tomorrow, my dreams will be real
And I’ll be found sitting here on my throne

Chorus

Bridge:
This fantastic kingdom
Flowerpainted walls, ornamented halls
Is my fantastic kingdom
Can’t wait for the day, to live as a queen, as a queen

Chorus

STAY

Verse 1:
You climbed up the stairs, to find me right there
Waiting for you love, and longing to care
You looked at me, and gave me a ’Hey’
Your eyes even sparkled, while I touched your hand

Welcome to my world, I said, welcome in my life
There’s no turning back, I said, welcome in my life

Chorus:
Stay, stay with me today, don’t leave me
Won’t you stay, hey
Stay, stay, stay everyday
Don’t leave me alone, ‘till my wedding day

Verse 2:
Right after our kiss, we just said hello
We started a life, that we couldn’t miss
Life has changed since we met, we knew from the start
It was the best thing I remembered, that we’d ever had

Welcome to my world, I said, welcome in my life
There’s no turning back, I said, welcome in my life

Chorus
